Falmouth Bay
This is an original oil painting on canvas, encapsulating sailing out to the start point for the mornings yacht race in the bay off Falmouth in Cornwall.
As a sailor myself, I have tried to capture the excitement of getting to the start. This scene can be easily viewed from the sea front as they have passed Black Rock. With a back drop to the maritime town of Falmouth behind the viewer, which is a town steeped in maritime history and folklore.
It measures H60 x W90 cm with a depth of 4.2cm. I’ve painted the sides so it is ready to hang, though you could add your choice of frame if preferred. Painted and personally signed, by myself, Steve Waumsley, in the UK.
